૧: મારો 'XYZ' ડ્રોઈંગ ક્લાસ ગયો છે, ત્યાંથી ગીટાર અને લાસ્ટ માં સ્વીમીંગ પતાવીને રાત્રે આવે પછી જ ડીનર કરે.
૨: 'બેન' ને ટ્રેડીશનલ મીઠાઈ ક્યાં ભાવે જ છે? એ તો કેક કે પેસ્ટ્રી હોય અને એ પણ ડાર્ક બેલ્જીયન ચોકલેટ કે ફ્રેશ ક્રીમ હોય તો જ ખાય, બહુ ચૂઝી છે!
૩. જો 'CHIKU' આજે બર્થ ડે ઓર્ફન બચ્ચાઓ સાથે સેલીબ્રેટ કરીને મજા આવી ને? આપણે બધું શેયર કરવાનું, બરાબર ને? અને જો પાર્ટીમાં તારા કઝીન્સ કહે તો પણ ગિફ્ટ્સ ખોલવાની નથી, એ કાલે આપણે ખોલીશું. મારે જોવું પડે કોણે શું આપ્યું છે એ!!
૪. 'બેટા' સારા બાળકો ક્યારેય ખોટું ન બોલે બરાબર ને? અને બા-દાદા પૂછે કે શું શોપિંગ કર્યું તો, કહેવાનું કે હું તો ગેમ ઝોન માં રમતી હતી મને ખબર નથી.
૫. મને તો અહીં ઇન્ડિયા માં ફાવતું જ નથી જ્યાં ટ્રાફિક સિગ્નલ પર ગાડી ઉભી રહે ત્યાં જ આ લોકોની 'પ્રજા' ગાડીને ઘેરી વળે, કેટલી વાર કાર વોશ કરાવવાની?
૬. 'આમ ન ખવાય', 'એ લોકો સાથે રમવા ન જઈશ', 'રડ નહીં', 'સામે ન બોલ', 'સુઈ જા', 'વાંચવા બેસ' ... અમારે ત્યાં બાળકોને બધી વાત ની છૂટ છે!

આવું અને આના જેવું જ કંઈ કેટલુંએ વિરોધાભાસી દરરોજ જોઈએ કે જીવીએ જ છીએ, છે ને? છતાં, જો આવા બધા અનુભવો વચ્ચે પણ તમે તમારા બાળકને સામાન્ય જીવન આપી શકો છો તો, તમને અનેકાનેક ધન્યવાદ!
આજે તો 'બાળદિન' એટલે બાળકો પર ફોકસ ફરજીયાત છે પણ, જેમને ત્યાં બાળકો છે એમને ૩૬૫ દિવસ બાળદિન છે એ ભૂલવું ન જોઈએ. સોશિયલ મીડિયા પરથી તસવીરો કાલે ઉતરી જશે પરંતુ, તમારા મન પરથી (એક જવાબદારી તરીકે) તમારું બાળક ન ઉતરે એ ખરી ઉજવણી બની રહેશે.
આપણે એટલા સ્વ-કેન્દ્રી બની ગયા છીએ કે, માત્ર આપણું બાળક જ આપણી જવાબદારી છે એમ માની લઈએ છીએ. પરંતુ, એક ખરા મનુષ્ય કે નાગરિક હોવાની અનુભૂતિ આવશે, ત્યારે જ સમજાશે કે આખા સમાજની આખી જનરેશન એ આપણી જ જવાબદારી હોય છે!
"સાચું, સારું અને સમયસર કરીએ, કરાવીએ!" એ જ આજનાં દિવસ નો સંદેશ અને એ જ આજનાં દિવસનું કમીટમેન્ટ!!
