એક ગીધનાં બાળકે તેના પિતાને કહ્યું, "બાપુ,આજે મારે માનવ માંસ ખાવું છે"
ગીધે કહ્યું, "ઠીક છે દીકરા, હું સાંજે લઈ આવીશ.. “ગીધ ઉડીને ભૂંડનું માંસ લઈને આવ્યું.
ગીધના બાળકે કહ્યું,” બાપુ,આ તો ડુક્કરનું માંસ છે, મારે તો માણસનું માંસ ખાવું છે!"
ગીધે કહ્યું "થોભ,સાંજ સુધીમાં મળી જશે.
ગીધ ફરી ઉડીને મૃત ગાયનું માંસ લઈને આવ્યું."
ગીધના બાળકે કહ્યું, “ બાપુ,આ તો ગાયનું માંસ છે, મારે માણસનું માંસ ખાવું છે."
ગીધ પાછું ઉડ્યું અને ડુક્કરનું માંસ મસ્જિદ પાસે અને ગાયનું માંસ મંદિર પાસે ફેંકી આવ્યું !
થોડીવાર પછી, ત્યાં ઘણા માણસોના મૃતદેહો પડ્યા હતા!
ગીધપિતા અને પુત્ર એ પેટ ભરીને માનવીનું માંસ ખાધું.
ગીધનાં બાળકે પુછયું, "બાપુ,આ કેવી રીતે થયું, આટલું બધું માંસ?"
ગીધે કહ્યું, "દીકરા, એ મનુષ્ય છે, તેણે જન્મ તો મનુષ્ય તરીકે લીધો છે, પણ ધર્મના નામે તેને "જાનવર” કરતાં પણ બદતર બનાવી શકાય છે!”
અને આ માનવીઓમાં બેઠેલાં ઘણાં ગીધ એ જ કામ કરી રહ્યા છે.
આજે આપણે પણ પેટ ભરવા માટે એ જ કર્યું
